ROCKIN FOR KIDS 2010 ANNOUNCED

The hugely successful ROCKIN FOR KIDS charity concert event returns to Perth this year after last years amazing night on top of the Cairngorm Mountain.

This year will see four live bands playing, a disco, prize draw and very special charity auction, and all kicking off with a wine reception for those lucky enough to get tickets to what will a truly great night.

Athole Fleming, organiser and frontman with THE WINDOWS rock band today announced the line up for this years PERTH 800 show.

"Apart from THE WINDOWS, our guests will include rock and pop covers band INCIRCLES, jazz funk music from the GROOVE CRU and we will all end up rocking to the sounds of STICKY FINGERS, Scotland's premier Rolling Stones tribute band."

"We will also have our friend ZANE doing his disco stuff between the live sets. A prize draw with some really great prizes to be won plus an amazing charity auction is planned too. I am working on getting some really fab items for the auction which I will announce very soon", continued Athole.

In addition to all of this great live entertainment, there will be a hot dog stand open throughout the evening to help keep everyone going, and to begin the night, a wine reception with a classical music group will welcome everyone to the event at 7.30pm.

"So far we have raised and donated over £30,000, and this year, one of our aims is to help a 3 year old girl get much needed specialist therapy in the US. Her family have been doing all they can to raise the money to fly over and have done very well, but we, through ROCKIN FOR KIDS want to get the money in place and make the trip to the US happen as soon as possible." said Athole.
